Mailchimp's 2012 Review
One of the best reviews of 2012.

A great tour of the Andean Explorer, a journey we’ll be taking in only a couple of months.
My latest eBay purchase.
Needed to book at hotel at Gatwick for later this year and given we fly in and out of the North Terminal our preference is a hotel we can walk to/from.
Until recently there was only one option the Sofitel. However, Premier Inn recently opened up a new hotel and they are my preferred ‘budget’ operator so I was happy to consider them as an option.
So I went on to both sites to compare prices. The Sofitel was £142 including breakfast and was non-refundable. Premier Inn on the other hand was only £64 and flexible until 1pm the day before.
Decision made!
Ever fancied visiting China? A little introduction to China I came across - in recent months I’ve had a greater interest in visiting.
Continuing with their Halloween tradition Gov’t Mule this year played Hendrix and they played it well.
A well thought out and written article (and comments) on the economics of EE add-ons and devot:ee.
A good article comparing experiences in getting quotes from 4 travel agents for a custom made holiday.
Earlier this year we were planning and looking to book a holiday for the first half of 2013. We knew what we wanted and went to a couple of companies to obtain quotes. Each agent experience was different but I am pleased to say we are delighted with the outcome.
I am currently working on a couple of web sites that will use ExpressionEngine as the CMS and Mailchimp to power the newsletter and I am looking at the best method to ensure that the user’s profile on the EE install matches their MC profile, should the subsequently make changes to it.
When visitors sign up to the site they will be given the opportunity to register for a newsletter. We are considering additional fields to collect information about the user (location, age, etc) to allow us to target content (not adverts!) specific to them.
I came across (again) Tyler’s article on redesigning the boarding pass. I always find it an interesting read and how people view the importance of certain bits of information on a boarding pass differently.
